Hi Joe,
actually, I have both.

'Assumption' I use for data I ... well ... assume <g>; e.g. I have a few cases where a person remarried while the1st spouse was living and I assume they got divorced but have no documentation (yet).

'Personal Knowledge' I use for data I know for (fairly) certain without documentation, e.g. where I was personally present at the event.
