Do I then end up with a master source list filled with "birth certificate-Colleen O'Neill", "birth certificate-Bernard O'Neill" etc? Is this appropriate or desirable?

Hi Carol,

"Birth records, Connceticut" is how I do it and then add Citation
Details.

Open the Master Source List and click on the [Renumber] button. In the
dialog box that opens you will have the option to renumber all
sources.

Presence of the asterisk indicates that the tag is the Primary tag.

I am not familiar with the "User's Guide" but are you aware that you
have the Reference Manual in PDF format? Look for refman.pdf in the
TMG folder. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader installed to view
refman.pdf. If you do not have the Reader, it is a free download from
www.adobe.com.

You're welcome and I hope it helps.
