Generic vs individual sources is an old thread. It does depend on your
preference as to how to do it. However I can't imagine doing it anyway but
generically. I would and do list, for example, all marriage records under a
citation for the county in question. The repository is the county's
repository address as that is where other folks can access the record, if
they choose. In the Citation detail I will put a note that a copy of the
record also resides in my personal filing system. Unless it was of some
special interest, I would not list who gave it to me. A later reader could
care less where I got the record. What he wants to know is where he can get
it. But as I say there are different opinions but I opt for shorter master
source lists, as long as all information is covered.-Dale
