Hi, Walt:
From my limited experience, the *only* real advantage of internal exhibits
is that they are backed up as an integral part of the data set. External
exhibits are not, as I understand it. Even so, I have found external
exhibits to be vastly preferable, and use them exclusively. I removed all
my internal exhibits.
Just one opinion.
