Readers shouldn't take a 128 MB limit as a general Windows 98 SE
restriction. I believe that Windows 98 SE can make use of 4 GB if the
hardware supports it. It's usually a hardware constraint (motherboard
specification) that kicks in at a lower level, so Walt needs to check
the details for his Dell Inspiron 7500. A common complication is how
much RAM the hardware cache supports.

limit of 512 MB -
