Hello Allen,
Not reluctant to use flags - probably just some doubt in my mind (as a TMG beginner) as to the 'best' way to do things. I have today achieved what I
wanted to do - using flags. After getting your suggestions I also looked at some relevant material on the TMG tips sites - including yours; and so better
appreciated the value and potential of using flags.
I guess that I have a small remaining doubt that having set up flags to indicate the relationship to me. or my wife, that I now need to maintain those
flags to ensure that they portray the same data integrity as that in the dataset records themselves.
I guess that maybe there's a place (in some future version of TMG) for having the output of one filter (your 'core' group) held as a temporary subset and
usable as the input to a subsequent filter operation - but then I guess that's just the same as using a temporary flag <g>.
