Virginia,

I don't publish information on anyone born after 1900 (this date was chosen
to avoid offending cousins by publishing information about their parents,
even if they are now dead). In the case of my own line, this means that I am
able to publish information on all generations down to and including that of
my grandparents.

When I exchange information with other researchers, I often send an Indented
Descendants Chart from TMG. I indicate lines with living descendants by
inserting a phrase such as "children and grandchildren still living". For my
own line, I put "children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren still living,
including Caroline Gurney".

Some fellow researchers have sent me their complete trees, including quite
intimate details about their parents, siblings etc. I follow the same policy
with this information and do not pass on anything about people born after
1900.
