From my limited knowledge of database programming, yes it would be a
significant change as you would require something like an intermediate
table to define the relationship between source/event/person and the
exhibit which would get rid of the many to many relationship that would
otherwise occur if you could allocate one exhibit to a number of
sources/events/people. However, I still think that there are instances
where you would want to do this but it probably isn't worth the
programming effort at the moment.

Fingers crossed. While we are on about V5, has the point been raised
before on the list about having more in-depth surety. I would particularly
like to be able to assign surety to the witness roles in events rather
than having the default surety for the whole event applied. It would be
nice to be able to be able to assign sources, exhibits and research tasks
to a witness.
Anyway, I'm waffling now. Thanks for the response.
