I would think you are okay. If you view your email on the server and it is not
downloaded to your computer, it can't infect your computer.
I find when I try to open a virus viewing my email vioa the web on the web
server, that it returns "Page could not be displayed". I also have noticed
that the viruses I have received in the last couple of weeks are all between
125K and about 137K in size. If Web Mail shows the size of the attachment and
it matcjhes what I just specified, it was probably a virus.
Good luck, but as I said, I think you are fine. Your son should have an
anti-virus program. Run a complete scan (20 minutes) for some extra comfort.
