Richard, I hope my post regarding the sort date problem did not come across
as an insult to Bob Velke or WG. There is a big difference in my mind
between "not a happy camper" and "mad." Besides, I get over both easily.

My own thoughts are that Bob and crew (and that includes the beta testers)
do a fine job day in and day out. I have tried most all of the genealogy
software over the years - I think the first I had was called Family Roots
that I ran on an Apple II years and years ago - and TMG is so far superior
to the rest that I wouldn't even consider changing my allegiance.

I also appreciate and understand the nature of new releases, but believe
that when all is said and done, those of us who jumped right in will have a
better understanding of the program than those who waited - kind of like
the difference in the level of understanding between those of us who bought
a computer the minute they became affordable, and those who bought their
first one last year. All I did was risk a few hours of my time, and that I
can live with.

Anyway, I felt that it was necessary to report the problem, hopefully so
others wouldn't experience the same, and because it is a problem that needs
to be addressed. If I was abrupt, I'm going to blame it on the hour.
Learning the features of this new version and trying to keep up with this
list is seriously cutting into my sleep time!
