Hi, Jane:
The question has been answered definitively in the negative. In better
English, no, you can't go back, except by GEDCOM export and re-import,
which to all but the most limited users of TMG means the same thing - No.
My suggestion is to set aside the documents or notes that you used to do
your data entry in v.5, for possible use in re-entry in v.4 if it came to
that. I doubt that it will, but if there are any serious bugs (for example,
if the Validate File Integrity bug report turns out to be correct and
applies to a lot of situations) we might all be re-importing. I will
probably do that in the next few hours myself, to see if I can get past a
major headache with the Language function.
For my own part, I have been doing very little data entry and have been
making the entries in both versions.
