For some perspective.

1) No one is required to use Validate File Integrity.
2) The only person that has reported a data issue is Laura and it's
not clear is it's a display issue or otherwise. The next update should
cover this.
3) Validate File Integrity has now been run by dozens of people on
dozens of projects hundreds of times with no issue. Some people get
erroneous 'possible problems fixed' messages. Optimize fixes that for
the most part.
4) If you backup before running this check, you can always restore the
backup.

I personally see no reason not to be doing real work using 5.01.000.
