Hi Pam,
the asterisk means, that this tag is the Primary Tag of this Type for this
person.

You can only have 1 tag in the same Group primary per person.

There are two exceptions (the following is copied from the Help file):

· The Other Event Group is a special case. The Subject may have one primary
tag from each Tag Type in that group. For instance, each person may have
one primary Education tag, one primary Occupation tag, etc., because each
is in the Other Event Group.

· For tags involving more than one principal, the Subject may have one
primary tag for each co-principal with whom he/she has tags in that group.
For instance, each person may have one primary Marriage Group tag and one
primary Divorce Group tag for each spouse

Assuming that your "Tax List" tag is in the Other Event Group, the first
exception would apply and you can only have one of them primary per person.
