Ron...I take great offense to you poking at WG. Here are my reasons:
1. Ask yourself why he released it in the first place? Because all of us
genealogist HAD TO HAVE A NEW VERSION with new features, report, options,
etc.
2. Do you have Windows? If you do then you will understand how unstable
the platform is. With that in mind, WG IS TESTING EVERYTHING TO ITS FULLEST
so we don't have blue screens of death, illegal operations, in compatibility
of OS's
3. Have you ever done and Object Oriented Based Programming? If not, you
might want to give it a try. I guarantee that if you would you would
understand how hard this is. Remember how large this program is. Remember
how powerful it is. It needs to be efficient in what it does. Anyone, I
repeat ANYONE can program....but the good programmers separate the men from
the boys...the woman from the girls...the geniuses that can make everything
run efficiently are few and far between. I'd say WG is a reputable company
with reputable objectives. If you have a problem go to them directly, don't
send it to the list so everyone can wine and moan and groan about it. One
thing is wishing...but another thing is actually complaining.
4. Ask yourself...Why do I use TMG? For me its a combination of Customer
Support, reliability, function, and again
reliability. If your unhappy...try another program..I am sure you will come
crawling back to TMG.
If you have any more comments I'd love to hear them, but please send them to
me OFF LIST!!!!!! (that's not with the TMG-L list with rootsweb, just to
individuals)
Sorry for by groaning about this, but I get hyper when someone criticizes a
fellow programmer!
