You can put Cynthiana in the Detail or combined with the township in the
City field, The report output will look the same.

I put villages, hamlets and other unincorporated places in the detail
and incorporated municipalities in the City.

You can put a church or cemetery and a village in the detail: The Third
Parish Church, Annisquam, Gloucester, Essex County MA.

I like the spelled out Township and County. The extra file space is
minisule as each place combination is a speparate entry in the place
file and is not repeated in each tag.

I started a long time ago using the state abbreviations: MA or NS. I am
now creating short place names with the full state name: Massachusetts
or Nova Scotia. The SPL should be called Alternate Place Name.
