I'm no expert either, but I Seem To Recall seeing a statement somewhere
that when the DAR changed membership policies, nobody who was a member at
that time based on a flawed application would be expelled. But from that
time, nobody would be able to use the same pedigree from that Patriot to
join, although somebody could submit a newly-researched one.
