Perhaps I should have been clearer in my post. I have no problems with sites
that have no sources but a notice of some type that they are available. That
serves to open communication and helps both parties.

I was talking about those that show no sources and when contacted about them
have nothing to offer except "off the web or some gedcom I think".

I also agree about verification of sources once obtained- altho after I've
worked with a person over a period of time and previous sources have verified
ok I do tend to accept their sources with more confidence and may not check
every one. After all until I verify it I'll be listing them as the source.
After that I'll list the original document with a note listing the person who
provided me the info as the source of the source.
