Hi Andy,

My present intent is to send CDs to known relatives. I may include
just names and YYYY dates. I want to stir up some interest and
hopefully some involvement. If I simply dump all I have onto a CD, I
think it reduces the chances that I will learn from others. In other
words, I want to exchange information, not give mine away.

If I were to use an Internet site, it would be with the same goals in
mind. If someone wants to see my sources or whatever, they would have
to contact me. I really do not think I would want to post enough
information that they could just grab it and go with what I post. I at
least want to know why they want information about a person or
persons. If they are happy with Friderica BADER (1791-1864), they are
welcome to it. If they want full dates, places and sources, they will
need to ask me.

The Project Explorer in TMG5 contains enough information to establish
a possible hit. If a bunch of the names in my PE appear in someone
else's data set, I want to know that. That person may have the
ancestors I am looking for and I may have the descendants that they
are looking for or vice versa.

I had written the above before I saw Terry's post that stated my
position but I will send this anyway. <g>
