I think they'll leave you in peace, Caroline <g>. The BCG rules are
standards, not laws. Only those who are Board certified are bound to them.
(And I for one am not certified--yet.)
In fact they are geared more for professional genealogists than for hobbyists
to set standards of ethics and excellence in the field. But if you ever get
a chance to read the manual, it will give you much food for thought, even if
you don't adopt every point.
