I did once see a rather innovative way to handle sources. The site included
only BMD info and each was sourced. All sources were shown as:
Family Notes, "Master List of Sources", (New York, 2001) Item # 24 or
whatever number it was
When I contacted them about the sources I received a Word file that had the
actual endnotes which corresponded with the Item #.
