For me, it was my use of the Birth/Death, -Est, -Alt tags without
considering how to select which sentence would be my primary output. I
definitely considered creating a Print tag for Birth or Death events but
after trying it out decided the standard Birth/Death tags would work IF I
could think in terms of also selecting an output sentence that would
accommodate the estimated dates.

After editing, I still have Birth-Est tags but not nearly as many. After
all, ages reflected on Census records varied. I've always selected all 3 of
the Birth/Death, -Est, -Alt tags to print so my exchange researchers could
see where I was coming from. They would do the same. Since I don't want to
share all tags with the world via the web, the need for a sentence selection
process changed... now I want ONE output sentence. With selected
researchers, I will continue to share all the Birth/Death tags.

As a side benefit, 2588 of my 3933 folks now have an output birth sentence.
I'm pleased as punch. With the way you use your tags, the output sentence is
determined so there is not a need to be concerned unless you want to adjust
some of them.

Next I'm going to tackle my will tags and think I'll create a Will-Print tag
because traditional roles are a must for them.

: I think I missed the earlier discussion re what was happening with the
: research-output conflict and would be most interested in this. Was it
: an issue with the way you generated reports in TMG or was it related to
: Second Site's use of your TMG tags?
