There are always good reasons to do or not to do something. In this case,
I might agree with you. However, a lot would depend on the size of the
data set. A rather large data set can be backed-up to a single floppy
diskette. This assumes that the data set doesn't include internal Exhibits
for one. A lot of text can be included in this situation IF the text is
spread out across many persons and tags. I know of at least one
researcher who essentially entered an entire genealogy book (some 10,000
persons) and the backup would require less than two diskettes not using
maximum compression.

I would agree that backup to multiple diskettes is not necessarily the
preferred way of doing things. But two diskettes is not all that bad (I
have used five before and that _is_ a pain <g>).

Still you have a point that Mary may want to consider.
