Thank you, all of you, for the fantastic replies. Seeing the debate about
what to do, the pros and cons, is tremendously helpful.

I need to insert here that I have realized already the problem developing
with floppies, and my son has just installed a CD-RW drive. I don't have
the software for it yet, he says it's in the mail! The CD holds 700MB. So
how does this affect the decision? In the meantime, an error message came
up when I tried to backup to the floppy, error 15, which under "help"
means not enough room for the file on the backup media. So we put a file
(I called it tmg backup) on the hard drive(he talked me through the
procedure ) and that is where I'm currently putting my backups. (typing in
'c:\tmg backup\my project__1.sqz' on the second line of that backup
screen) I would have no clue how to make a backup to more than one floppy.

Perhaps, as it seems to me, the best decision would be to keep the
dataset intact as is, and get the CD backup going, and if a problem does
develop, splitting the dataset will allways be an option in the future? I
thought maybe the decision needed to be made now.

Can TMG pull information from microsoft word somehow? If that is a stupid
question, just hit delete. <g>
