Yes to both questions.

Open the Master Source List (Tools menu), select the Source to be changed,
and click on the Edit button. In the Source Definition window, you may
choose a different Source Category or Source Type by clicking on that
button and choosing the desired Source Category/Type.

If no Source Type is exactly what you want, choose the one that is closest
and then
you can modify the standard Templates for this Source easily by clicking on
the Output Forms tab, choosing the Template to change and modifying it as
desired. You will need to change each Template as desired.
