For the marriage tag, I use the name on the marriage certificate. If I found
another document that had a name differently, I would create a second
marriage tag, just like I would if I found a separate date.
For death, I would use the death certificate.
For burial, the tombstone.
I don't record occupations.
As usual, contradictory information would go into contradictory tags. But
others don't do this either, so we can be thankful that TMG is so user
friendly. (Not a term we often use with TMG huh?)
