I'm working on cleaning up my Location/Comments fields in FTM9 before
importing into TMG 5.04 [when it arrives] by putting an ; between places
& comments, etc. and other general cleanup.
Question 1 Place Name Prefixes
>From my feeble understanding of the TMG MPL, the prefix for a place name
is not a variable?
I've got a lot of places where I have entered various prefixes to the
place name such as "near", "north of", etc.
Would appreciate some suggestions on how others have handled these.
Question 2 - "Presumed" Place Names
I've used <of>in front of a place name for a "presumed" place for a
particular event. As an example, if I knew a person was born in Warren
County, Lived their entire life in Warren County and is buried in Warren
County, I would enter the place of death as
<of> Warren County
if I didn't have anything that gave the actual place of death.
Would appreciate some suggestions on how others have handled these as
well.
Thanks in advance,
Arne
