I use WinXP Home and also use Windows and Norton Live Update. Just want to
mention that I haven't had any problems with TMG5.03 with these updates
active. I would try using TMG and see if you have the problem before
deactivating the updates.

I have only 256M of ram. I often have four or five programs running at once
without incident. I have noticed that if things seem to slow down it helps
to defrag whether the system thinks it's necessary of not.
