As one more thought on this type of subject - eg. making it easy for us
newbies - could everyone please include enough of teh message they are
replying to, to make it easy to remember what teh question was? I also keep
copies of some of this stuff that I think might be helpful, but if it
doesn't contain the question then teh answer doesn't make a lot of sense.
Most of you are doing this, but once in a while ...Thanks so much to those
who put such a lot of time and effort into helping the rest of us get on
track a bit quicker with this program! I surely am looking forward to teh
manula coming out, however! Never mind the reports!

> Thank you so much for saying what I have been reluctant to say, Chuck. As
another "newbie", I find I spend a lot of time trying to decipher some
messages and just end up deleting them. I'm computer literate but TMG is so
incredible in its capabilities that it's taking a long time to absorb it
all, esp. without a manual to refer to. I spend a lot of time going back and
forth to the Help files, which aren't the easiest to understand. I try to
read every message in the hopes I can remember the information and if I know
it is particularly important, I have a genealogy keeper in my local folders
to which I can refer back, which I have found very useful.

"older" users. I think that before you use acronyms in a message you first
identify it, there are many CDs i.e. Compact Disk, Certificate of Deposit,
Citation Detail, etc. It took me a while to find that you were talking about
the latter, by that time I had lost the intent of the original question.
Having a military background where they make acronyms of acronyms it can get
confusing until everyone gets on the same page. ;-)
