Subject: [TMG] Download of Compressed (ZIP) files

Caroline Gurney passed on to me information about a minor problem for which
other more Windows cognizant persons may be able to elaborate and give us a
better solution.

It seems that if you tell your web browser (at least Internet Explorer) to
download a file and if that file is a compressed (ZIP) file, your web
browser will automatically append the three letter "ZIP" extension if it is
not already there. This only happens if the "Save as File Type" is set to
"WinZip file". If you change that to "All files", then the "ZIP" extension
will not be appended. This will affect TMG backup (SQZ) files, and (for
v4x) the Custom Source Category (CSC) files and possibly others. As noted,
changing the "Save as type" to "All files" will correct the problem (or you
can just rename the file to drop the extra "ZIP" file extension).

But it appears this is a case of Windows now getting "too smart".
