Thank you. I added the 3 file extensions to my list, entered the
descriptions you suggest in the "Description of Type" field, checked the box
to have the extension always shown & gave them the TMG inkwell icon as a
visual aid. I think you must be running a different version of Windows from
me as I have no Advanced button. However, it doesn't seem to matter as I can
now download these file types using _either_ the "WinZip" _or_ the "All
Files" option & in _neither_ case is the ZIP extension added. So you have
solved the problem.

I am in fact back where I was some months ago, when I did not have this
problem, & I suspect that something had changed in my Windows settings after
applying Windows & IE6 updates. IE6 SP1 has caused me all sorts of problems
& this is probably yet another one.

Anyway, many thanks once again for supplying the solution.
