Richard, both of the methods above should work for you. Joe's method is a
shortcut and when that is all that you wish to quote then it is usually the
easiest. If I reply to a message (might be a digest) and wish to quote
numerous times from it, I start with method that Joe suggests and then for
subsequent quotes I follow the method you note.
Now I am not that familiar with Netscape 7.0 (using Eudora5.2), but most
e-mail program do work this way.
