I don't know how many of you remember this discussion of a couple of
weeks ago, but since I had complained on this list about the support I
was getting, it seems only fair to send an update. I received in the
mail a copy of the Family Archive Viewer V 8.0 and it works just fine.
That is the same CD the techie who answered the phone told me didn't
exist. Just a case of a poorly trained employee, I guess. So if anyone
else is unable to read their CDs after switching to WinXP, you don't
need to buy a copy of Family Tree Maker that you don't want or need.
