I have experimented & find that I can in fact delete 11 of the default
elements as follows:

CALL NUMBER
FILE REFERENCE
PAGES
PUBLISHER LOCATION
RECORD NUMBER
REPOSITORY INFO
SECOND DATE
SHORT ESSAY TITLE
SHORT SUBTITLE
SUBTITLE
VOLUMES

If I, or anyone else, needed to reinstate a deleted source element it is
simplicity itself to recreate it.

In the meantime, I do not have a few unneeded elements but 45 of them (after
the deletion of the 11 above) out of a total list of 151.
