I am struggling to deal with TMG's sentence construction using split
memos. I am using a role in a birth tag as in the sentence below:

[:CR:][:CR:][:TAB:][PF]<, [M1]>< of [FATH] and [MOTH], >was born< on the
[D]>< at [DETAIL]><, [CITY]><, [COUNTY]><, [STATE]><, [COUNTRY]> joining
the rest of the family< with [RF:Sibofnewbrother]>< with
[RF:Sibofnewsister]><; [M2]>

If there is no [M2] present, the resultant sentence ends appropriately
with a full stop, eg: "Frederick, youngest child of Eric Shelley &
Kathleen Read, was born on 10 July 1949 at 15 Hurst Street, Birmingham,
W. Midlands, joining the rest of the family of Andrew, Guy and Jane."

If, however, there is an [M2] present, the ending of sentence goes:
"... joining the rest of the family of Andrew, Guy and Jane ; this was
a difficult birth"

How can this extra space be removed or do I have to alter every [M2] to
add a punctuation mark?
