Sure. I know that, but it doesn't help much if your recipient can't tell
you what format would be handy at the moment. So I always ask, and if
they don't know, they get RTF. Even WordPad can handle that. We're
talking about the capabilities of TMG, not those of the various and
sundry word processors people use. And even my version of WordPerfect8
will not save in MSWord2000 format, but 97 comes close enough, and if it
doesn't, there's always RTF. TMG 4, with whatever faults it may have, if
any, has really got us all spoiled.
