Patricia,

When this happened to me, my husband did the following.....

1. shut down the computer and then brought it back up to determine if the
situation still existed. In my case it did, so he then....
2. went into Samples (the "welcome window" opened) and restored the data
from a back-up.

Hope your situation doesn't take such drastic action. Good luck.
