I think we have all forgotten one piece of advice that would really be
of great help to newbies. IF one exists, join a TMG users group in your
area. They can help walk you through the steps to creating a new person
or adding a source in person. Bob has a link on his website that lists
the current ones, and if you don't see one, ask here, maybe there is
someone in your area thinking of starting one.
