Yes, that could be the explanation! I guess it could cause quite a
problem to someone trying to backup to floppy!

What I think is happening is that newer back-ups do not resize a file
when over writing a previous file name. I rotate through six back-ups
and normally only back-up attachments every sixth time. That back-up is
decidedly larger. I found that a smaller back-up when written over a
larger one retains the larger file size. Very strange. Sherm
