Adding the parents as witnesses, creates side-effects on the entry screens
and slows down the data entry when in most cases these extra steps would
not normally be done by most users.

TMG is perceived by a number of users to be more complicated than it needs
to be for just this kind of reason (that is, there is already a back-door
method of getting the result). To these users what they are asking for
seems to be simple to them. To get their desired result should not require
them in a lot of effort on their part or a more complex way of thinking
about the data entry.

I would hope that in the future some of the more common requests can be
"canned" into appropriate new reports.
