In the same group as the regular tags, in my view. This allows you
easily switch an -alt tag to regular, and the reverse, which would be
significantly more work if they were is different groups.

The main ones, I think, are the more sensible sentence structures and
that you can easily turn them on or off for printing in a report,
depending on the intended use of the report. This and more on the

In practice, I find the alt tags helpful during the research stage
for a line. When I get the data fairly well settled down I find I
like to move all the citations to one tag, add explanations to
explain why I have chosen the data I think most likely true, and
delete the alt tags. This is covered in more depth on pp 87-88 of
GTMOTMG.
