To all:

As you may have noted in my previous posts, I purchased TMG 5.0 on May 22,
2002. Since then, there have been a number of TMG 5 updates but none of
these updates has solved my GenBridge import problem (when importing my
Legacy 4.0 Deluxe .fdb file, none of the pictures attached to my sources
import). And despite these updates, TMG 5 is still a "work in progress",
with no book or CD forthcoming. As I have also mentioned, I only am to blame
for purchasing software I knew was incomplete; I do not hold Wholly Genes
accountable for selling me incomplete software.

Additionally, I have experienced multiple Blue Screens of Death during the
import process. And the import itself takes WAY too long IMHO (over 75
minutes to import the .fdb file--on an AMD XP 1600+ box with 512 megs RAM
and 30 gigs free on the 7200 rpm HD running WIN 98 SE. I have 8259 persons
in the file).

So? Enough is enough. I have uninstalled TMG 5 (and John Cardinal's
excellent utilities) and have made the decision to stay with Legacy.

I cannot tell you how difficult the decision was to abandon TMG, but like
Ultimate Family Tree, it seems the TMG change from a 16- to a 32-bit program
has resulted in software that is slow, prone to frequent crashes on my
machine, and still incomplete.

Enough is indeed enough for me.

Sincerely,

Michael M. Shaw
