As Paul says, I describe a method using Roles in just one Marriage
tag type at http://reigelridge.com/tmg/Roles-Marriage.htm

You do not have to deal with all the possible combinations -- just
create a Role for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. and apply that Role
independently to the bride and groom, provided you create the
sentence structures so that they work with one another. The web
article describes then more fully.
