I just wondered what the problem was. I use the semicolon in text macros a
lot. For example I put census entries, the date, county,year etc into their
appropriate fields with one whack at Shift F3. Incidentally there seems to be a
change in this usage from V4 to V5. In V4 I could also place information in the
second principal field as well as date etc for census entries with Shift F3
and a text macro. In V5 I have to F3 the principal field and then hit Shift F3
to enter the rest. I wonder why the change-Dale
