Vic- Do what you want to do. There is no convention that I know of and I
probably wouldn't use it if there was. Let me make a suggestion that you might
want to explore. Let me use myself as an example. Most times I would want just a
Mil begin, end or such to appear in the person screen. At times I want more
detail on my military experience as it is such a large section of my life. I
went into time line manager and built a timeline for my years in the military
with much more detail such as different ships served on , places gone to, and
all of that with appropriate dates. Whenever I choose I can flip on the
timelines and my military time line will then appear in my person screen. When I don't
want all the detail to show I turn off the timelines. As of now (before final
reporting is done in TMG) you can use the Individual Detail report to write a
report including timeline information. It is a pretty neat feature. I have
also taken the Regimental Histories of appropriate Civil War and revolutionary
War Regiments and timelined them. Now I can produce a report for my great
grandfather, for example, with all his Civil War record included in his life. -Dale
