Terry, I _have_ been getting different results than you are. But you got me
thinking there might be some other reason why I'm getting those results. I
rewrote the HoH sentence for 1830 from "...<[RAE:Head of Household], > to
simply <[AE], > and now it works fine. However, the other role sentences
don't (I tried two diff. versions). I thought maybe they didn't work when
there is more than one person assigned to the role. But, noooo. I find it
doesn't work in cases where only one person has the role. Go figure!
Here's a c&p sample of my 1830 sentences ... see if they work for you (if
you have the patience to deal with this).

I don't understand. When I use the variable <[AE]> I get "at age 49
years" with only a year in the current tag, and year, month and year,
or day month and year in the birth tag. You do need the conditional
brackets to get the "at age" phrase, but even even without it I get
"49 years."
Are you getting different results?
