That was my thinking at first also. However, that implies a much broader
possibility of dates than the more precise circumstance I had: based
solely on evidence stating that he was 58 years old in 1653, there are
only two possible years in which he could have been born. I'm having
trouble calculating whether those two possible years are 1594/95 or
1595/96.

Guess the old brain cells just ain't what they used to be!!
