I never thought of using the LoC in v4 for this purpose, namely to list the complete citations for Everybody. I just ran it now to see if it would work. It isn't exactly what I want but it might be useable.
I want to strip the person/tag associations from the citations and retain only the source associations. Then I want to paste everything from each source into a research task and attach the research task to the source. So that whenever I examine a source I can review all my research from that source -- a complete raw-data research log organized by source.
Since I've always quoted the relevant part of sources in the CD of every citation, it would contain virtually all my research in the raw. The only thing that would be lost would be the chronological sequence, which isn't a serious loss. And there would be some considerable redundancy because citations are typically repeated for multiple tags, but I can live with that. It looks like with a little global editing with a word processor and some tricky but do-able sorting, I can do it. It will probably take 2 or 3 days work but I'll only have to do it once, and it will be worth it if I then resolve to maintain this log from that point on.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll be waiting for the availability of this report in v5.
