I agree wholeheartedly! In the January 2003 issue of the RUG of
Arlington's newsletter I had an article about backing up TMG5's data in
which I stated: "Opinion: It seems to me that the designers of TMG5 placed
little – if any – importance on helping the user make backups of any but
the most fundamental genealogical data. A lot could be done in this area to
improve the situation – TMG4 had a better facility, although even it was
not as convenient as that in UFT – and I have hopes that this situation
will improve as TMG5 is further developed."

I still have that hope, but it is diminishing. Perhaps John Cardinal could
add something to his utility...?
