Hi Theresa and Cheryl,
The Chesterfield County Order Books contain brief entries for *any* subject
for which people came to court on court days. Also, check out The Library of
Virginia web page, and go to Chancery under their index. The chancery cases that
have been given to the library by the various clerks of courts have been
indexed (but some counties, like Powhatan County, still retain these packets).
Also, Chesterfield County has an extremely active historical society, with many
volunteers:

They also have published one cemetery book and are ready to publish a second
volume.
