Nor anyone else's desires apparently. If there were a way to convince them
that more than just a few people want the change, then maybe they would
create what we want. Unfortunately, I don't see a way unless we organize a
ten million (very large anyway) person march or letter-writing or whatever
campaign. <g>

A lot depends (in the case of MS/Word) on the number of persons, the number
of citations, the configuration of your computer, and probably a number of
other factors. I have run some tests using large data sets consisting of a
mix of all of the above. With the same computer, I can produce a many
generation (say 20 or more) report without any problem for one data
set. But using a second data set, I can only produce a seven generation
report without problems in MS/Word, and using another data set I can only
produce a ten generation report.
Again, TMG will produce a report that will cover 20 or more generations
without any problems. But the word processor (Word or WordPerfect) will
often give you a problem.
There are work-arounds that will allow the word processor to achieve what
you want. This means that you will need to change one or more of the
options that you set in the Report Definition Screen (Options). For
example, instead of Footnotes you might select Endnotes with the Unique option.
Hope this helps -
